d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomiques (OCDE), la biotechnologie est l&rsquo;application de la science et de la technologie aux organismes vivants et \u00e0 leurs parties, produits ou mod\u00e8les, pour modifier des mat\u00e9riaux vivants ou non vivants afin de produire des connaissances, des biens et des services.<\/strong><\/p><p>Dix branches diff\u00e9rentes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9es en Biotechnologie, chacune ayant un code couleur sp\u00e9cifique.\u00a0<\/p><p>Bien que ces classifications de couleurs permettent de distinguer les branches, la biotechnologie dans le monde r\u00e9el couvre souvent plusieurs domaines. Par exemple, un projet de biotechnologie blanche (industrielle) pour la production d\u2019une mol\u00e9cule biosourc\u00e9e peut \u00e9galement impliquer une biotechnologie dor\u00e9e pour l\u2019analyse des donn\u00e9es et une biotechnologie violette pour la protection par brevet, et \u00e9ventuellement une biotechnologie jaune et grise en fonction de l\u2019origine des ressources en carbone et de l\u2019application de la biomol\u00e9cule.
