The French Biotechnology Federation (FFBiotech) is a nonprofit association governed by the French Civil Code of 1901.

Membership in FFBiotech is open to any legal entity (academic societies, associations, public research organizations, engineering schools, grandes écoles, school networks, professional associations, competitiveness clusters, technical centers, Carnot Institutes, and companies, etc.), as well as individuals or honorary members whose responsibilities or whose interests and activities include one or more fields of biotechnology. All new membership applications are received by the Executive Board, which submits them to the Board of Directors for approval. Membership is subject to the payment of a membership fee.
